Last Game
Dylan Davis drove home two runs in the eighth to send Oregon State to a come-from-behind win over Oregon, 4-2, on Saturday night. Andrew Moore scattered four hits and two runs in eight innings for the win.
Back And Forth
For the most part, the series between Oregon State and Oregon since the Ducks reinstated their program in 2009 has belonged to the home team. The Beavers are 11-2 at Goss Stadium over that stretch, and are 4-6 at PK Park. OSU also holds a 2-1 advantage in neutral-site games. The Beavers are 8-0 all-time in conference games at Goss Stadium.
Equal After 39
A win Sunday would not only give the Beavers a sweep of the Ducks, but it would also push the team to a 31-8 record, which would tie the 2005, 2007, 2011 and 2013 teams for the best record through 39 games.
Second-Best Regular Season Mark
A crowd of 3,307 came to see Saturday’s game, which was the second-largest at Goss Stadium during a regular-season game. That’s just shy of the 3,417 against Washington State on May 25 last season. A total of 6,428 have seen the first two games of the series.
Fry At Home
Oregon State’s probable starter Sunday, Jace Fry, is 3-1 at Goss Stadium this season, and has a 26-to-5 strikeout-to-walk ratio while posting a 1.71 earned run average. He is 7-3 lifetime in 16 home games, with a 2.04 ERA
Singles
• Oregon State is 24-0 this season when out-hitting its opponents. The Beavers have done so 12 times at home.
• Saturday’s win gave the Beavers their 30th victory for the sixth consecutive season. It would put the Beavers at 30 or more in 10 of the last 11 years.
• Dylan Davis upped his team and Pac-12 Conference lead in runs batted in to 47 with his two in the eighth Saturday. He and teammate Michael Conforto (42) are 1-2 in the league and have combined for 89. Twenty of Davis’ 47 have come against Pac-12 foes.
• OSU has won five consecutive home games and has surrendered just four runs during that stretch. The Beavers themselves have scored 14 runs.
