The Game
Oregon State opens a two-game midweek series with Sacramento State Monday night at 6:30 p.m. PT. The game will be played at Raley Field, home to the Triple-A Sacramento RiverCats.

Last Game
Michael Conforto drove in three runs and Jace Fry allowed three hits and a run over eight innings to lead the Beavers to an 8-1 win over Washington State last Sunday. The win gave the Beavers a series victory over the Cougars, losing 4-1 on Friday but winning game two, 12-5, on Saturday. Conforto went 3-for-5 to pace the Beavers, who finished with 11 overall. Dylan Davis and Jeff Hendrix also drove in two runs.
Venue Note
The Beavers and Hornets will play at two venues during the midweek series. Monday’s game, as mentioned earlier in these notes, is at Triple-A Raley Field. Tuesday’s 1 p.m. start, meanwhile, will be played at John Smith Field on the Sacramento State campus. OSU is 6-2 when playing at professional parks this season, going 4-0 at Tempe Diablo Stadum and 2-2 at Surprise Stadium.
Eight Over Sac State
Oregon State head coach Pat Casey is 10-2 against Sacramento State during his tenure with the Beavers, and he and the team carry an eight-game win streak into Monday’s affair, dating back to 2004. The Beavers have outscored the Hornets, 76-26, during the win streak.
Bullpen Note
The Oregon State bullpen, over the last six games, has held opponents scoreless over 15 innings. The ‘pen has given up four hits over that stretch, helping the Beavers to a 5-1 mark against Stanford and Washington State. Opponents are batting .085 against the group.
Offense Comes Alive
After going four straight games registering seven hits or less, the Oregon State offense came alive in the two wins over Washington State. The Beavers recorded 27 hits, and batted .365 as a team.
