vs. ARIZONA STATE: Oregon State and Arizona State meet for the 81st time with the Sun Devils holding a slim 41-39 edge by winning 10 of the past 11 games. The Beavers have a 22-14 advantage in games played in Corvallis with all of them at Gill Coliseum. Oregon State’s lone win in the last 11 games came on Dec. 30, 2010 when the Beavers won easily at home, 80-58.
The Sun Devils won the first meeting this season, 86-82, in overtime on Feb. 6 at Wells Fargo Arena in Tempe. The teams combined for 40 points in the overtime, which is tied for the second most in NCAA Division I history.
Oregon State will honor six seniors during post-game festivities. They are Angus Brandt, Devon Collier, Daniel Jones, C.J. Mitchell, Michael Moyer and Roberto Nelson. Two of the seniors have had success against the Sun Devils, as Nelson scored an Oregon State freshman record 34 points on March 5, 2011 in Tempe and Jones, a walk-on, made the only three-pointer in his career on Dec. 30, 2010 in Corvallis.
A WIN OVER THE SUN DEVILS: If Oregon State defeats Arizona State it will improve to 16-14 overall and finish Pac-12 play at 8-10. It would also:
- Be the second-most wins the Beavers have had through 30 games since 1990 (the 2004-05 and 2011-12 teams were 17-13).
- Be more wins that Oregon State finished with in 20 of the last 23 seasons (2004-05 finished 17-15; 2008-09 finished 18-18; 2011-12 finished 21-15).
- Equal Oregon State’s best Pac-12 record since 1993 (the 2004-05 and 2009-10 teams also finished 8-10).
OREGON STATE QUICK HITTERS: Here are some quick hitters about the Oregon State basketball team through 29 games:
- The Beavers are shooting 48.2 percent (738-for-1,531) from the field, which is third in the Pac-12 and 20th in the nation. If the season ended today it would be the Beavers’ best percentage since 1991-92 when that team finished at 48.6 percent (860-for-1,771).
- Oregon State shot 35.0 percent (55-for-157) from the three-point line in non-conference games but leads the Pac-12 in conference games from beyond the arc at 41.3 percent (107-for-259).

- He was named Pac-12 Player of the Week two times this season (Nov. 18 and Dec. 30).
