Oregon State jumps out of non-conference play Tuesday night for a 5:35 p.m. PT game against Seattle at Goss Stadium.

Last Game
Jace Fry struck out eight in 7 1/3 innings but Arizona State managed four runs off the lefty in a 7-3 win over the Beavers Sunday afternoon at Goss Stadium. Kavin Keyes had two hits for the Beavers, who matched ASU’s three-run top half of the sixth with three in the bottom half of the inning. But the Sun Devils scored a solo run in the eighth and three more in the ninth to clinch the series victory. Fry took the loss to drop to 4-1.
Non-Conference Game
Oregon State is 15-3 in 18 non-conference games this season, and the Beavers have a .282 average and 2.03 earned run average in such games this season. Opponents are batting just .202 and have a 6.28 ERA. Gabe Clark is 15-for-37 (.405) to lead the Beavers offensively.
Defense Takes No. 1
Oregon State did not commit an error in Sunday’s loss and bumped its fielding percentage to .980 on the year, which now leads the Pac-12 Conference. The Beavers have a .976 percentage in non-conference games and a .992 mark against league foes, which also leads the Pac-12.
Not Stealing Allowed
Catcher Logan Ice and the Beavers have controlled the running game this season as opponents have just a 30-percent (6-for-20) success rate in stolen-base attempts this season. Ice, who has caught a majority of innings for OSU this season, has thrown out 12-of-17 (70.5 percent) of attempts against him. He leads the Pac-12 with 12 caught stealings but does not rank in the top 10 for steals against. OSU and USC are the only Pac-12 schools with less than a 50-percent success rate against.
Saying Goodbye To March
Oregon State’s four games this week, including three at Arizona, close out a busy month for the club, which should see the team play 19 games. It would be the most in a single month since the 2009 team played 20 games in May (including postseason). OSU is 12-3 in March this year; its most wins in the month dating back to 1982 is 14 last season.
