Harrison Places 41st in 500 Freestyle

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Sophomore Sammy Harrison placed 41st in the 500 freestyle at the NCAA Championships Thursday in Minneapolis, Minn. The Henderson, Nev. native finished the event with a time of 4:45.37, the third-fastest mark in school history.
Harrison improved her 500 freestyle placement by two spots, after finishing 43rd in the event at the 2013 NCAA Championships.
Harrison will return to the pool Saturday, when she swims the 1,650 freestyle. The sophomore won the Pac-12 title in the event last month, and enters Saturday’s race as the ninth seed.
