Andrew Moore Named First-Team Freshman All-America By NCBWA

June 10, 2013
LYNCHBURG, Va. - Oregon State right-handed pitcher Andrew Moore has been named a First-Team Freshman All-American by the National College Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA), it was announced on Monday.
Moore improved to 14-1 after limiting Kansas State to four runs - three earned - in eight innings on Sunday night. He struck out a career-best nine.
His 14 wins is tied for first in the nation and also ties Scott Christman (1993) for most in a single-season at Oregon State.
He's already been named a freshman All-American by Louisville Slugger and was a second-team All-American by the same organization. He joined Michael Conforto (2012) as the only Oregon State true freshmen to ever be named an All-American. The Beavers, meanwhile, have had at least one freshman All-American the last seven seasons.
Oregon State and Kansas State finish the Super Regional Monday at 7:05 p.m. PT. The game will air live on either ESPN2 or ESPNU and with an online stream available by visiting ESPN3.com.
An online audio stream is available via osubeavers.com while those with SiriusXM can find the game on channel 91.
The game can be heard on the Beaver Sports Network with the following stations carrying the game: KEJO 1240-AM in Corvallis/Albany, FOX Sports Radio Portland (620-AM), KICE 940-AM (Bend) and KSKR 1490-AM in Roseburg.
