Chad Swenson Earns All-Conference Recognition

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. – Oregon State senior rower Chad Swenson has been named to the 2013 Pac-12 Men’s Rowing All-Conference team, it was announced Thursday.
Swenson (Oakland, Calif./Skyline HS) has been a key member in the Beavers’ Varsity Eight throughout the 2013 racing season. Swenson has rowed in the 5-, 6- and 7-seats of OSU’s top boat as well as providing the pace in the stroke seat late in the season. This weekend, he is slated to help provide power from the 5-seat at the Intercollegiate Rowing Association National Championships.
Most recently, Swenson helped the OSU V8 to a fourth place finish at the Pac-12 Championships two weeks ago.
Members of the Pac-12 all-conference rowing teams are based upon each institution’s finish in the Varsity Eight championship race at the Pac-12 Championships, which were held May 19 on Lake Natoma at Rancho Cordova, Calif.
