Last Game
Andrew Moore threw his second consecutive shutout and Dylan Davis drove in all four of the game's runs as the Beavers defeated Washington State, 4-0, on Saturday. Davis homered in the seventh for the 4-0 lead after driving in one run in the first. Moore, meanwhile, threw 107 pitches, striking out seven in the process. He allowed six hits for his 12th win.
Beavers Clinch At Least A Share
Oregon State clinched at least a share of the Pac-12 Conference's crown with Saturday's win. It's Oregon State's third league title since the then-Pac-10 unified prior to the 1999 season. Only Arizona State, which won four straight from 2007-10, has more league titles than the Beavers since 1999. With Oregon's win on Saturday, the Beavers need to win Sunday to clinch an outright league title. A Utah win Sunday would also do so.
Going For .800
A win Sunday by the Beavers would also push the club's winning percentage in Pac-12 play to .800. That would be the best winning percentage by a Pac-12 team since `99 and the best by any club since Washington's .833 (20-4) mark won the Pac-10 North in 1997.
3,417 Is A Big Number
Oregon State and Washington State drew 3,417 fans to Saturday's game, the largest crowd at Goss Stadium since the stadium was renovated and expanded in 1999, surpassing the previous best of 3,284 against Michigan in the 2007 NCAA Super Regional. The Beavers are now averaging 2,464 per home game.
Andrew Moore's Last Start
Andrew Moore's last regular season start came Saturday and he didn't disappoint in shutting out Washington State. He ran his scoreless streak to 18 innings and opponents have scored in just one inning over his last 42. Stanford tallied two in the sixth inning - his last inning of work - back on May 11.
Singles
Sunday's starter, Ben Wetzler, has won his last seven starts. His ERA, which is 1.46, has not changed over his last three outings.
Jake Rodriguez extended his caught stealing streak to 13 in Saturday's game. Opponents have not stolen a base against the Beavers in their last 20 games.
Dylan Davis has seven RBI in the first two games of the series and leads OSU with 51.
Oregon State is 25-0 this season when holding opponents to two runs or less.
