Make Your Plans to Join Beaver Nation at the Road Shows This Month
April 30, 2013
Corvallis, Ore. -
Our Beaver Nation is excited for the return of the popular Road Shows this spring. This year we are thrilled to return a Seattle stop to our tour. The Road Shows begin May 13 in Bend with dates in Seattle, Eugene, Portland and San Francisco later this month.
This is your opportunity to learn the latest news about Beaver Athletics, including the upcoming seasons with several of the head coaches. You also will get the most up to date information on facility improvements and Pac-12 Conference news.
"The primary purpose of the Beaver Nation Road Show events is to build relationships," Senior Associate Athletic Director Shawn Heilbron said. "We want to continue to grow Our Beaver Nation, and the best way to do that is by sharing our message in person so that people feel more connected to Oregon State Athletics and our mission."
Head football coach Mike Riley headlines four of the five events along with head men's basketball coach Craig Robinson and Director of Athletics Bob De Carolis.
"The Road Shows are something I look forward to every year as it presents an opportunity to be around our fans and experience the passion for Oregon State," Riley said. "I'm very excited for the 2013 season and I look forward to talking about the upcoming year with our many Beaver supporters."
Two former Beaver greats are among late additions to the event in San Francisco, as we welcome Gary Payton and A.C. Green. The two have joined forces in support of a fundraising effort for the soon to be opened basketball practice facility (read more in the latest A.D. Report).
"I'm honored to represent the athletic department in our series of road shows," Robinson said. "It is always a treat to spend time with our loyal supporters talking Beaver basketball. The San Francisco event could be the best yet with A.C. and Gary in attendance."
