Pac-12 Championships - Live Scoring
CORVALLIS, Ore. - The Oregon State women's golf team begins its second season - actually third if you count the fall and spring seasons - when the 2013 Pac-12 Championships will be held Monday through Wednesday in Valencia, Calif.
The Beavers are looking for a top finish at the Pac-12 Championships to earn their second straight trip to the NCAA Division I Women's Golf Regionals. The 72-team regional field will be announced on Tuesday, April 30 at 6 p.m. on a selection show on NCAA.com.
COURSE: The Pac-12 Championships will be held at the par-72, 6,300-yard Valencia Country Club.
FORMAT: Three-day, 54-hole tournament with 18 holes each day. The top-four individuals from each five-member team with the lowest scores for each 18-hole round constitute the scoring members for that given round.
TEE TIMES: There will be tee times off the first and 10th holes beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Monday and Tuesday, and tee times starting at 8 a.m. on Wednesday. The Beavers will be paired with Arizona in the opening round and tee off beginning at 9:50 a.m. on the first hole.
FIELD (11): Oregon State, Arizona, Arizona State, California, Colorado, Oregon, Stanford, UCLA, USC, Washington and Washington State. Utah doesn't have a women's golf team.
LIVE SCORING: Live scoring will be available on golfstat.com.
BEAVERS' LINEUP: Head coach Risë Alexander and assistant coach Kailin Downs will go with a lineup of juniors Lauren Sewell and Seshia Telles, sophomore Anica Yoo and freshmen Ashlee Pickerell and Chelsea Saelee.
QUOTING HEAD COACH Risë Alexander: "We are about to play on an extremely challenging venue against some of the best competition in the country. Six teams are ranked in the top 15 in the nation, so my expectations are to compete with the golf course and win a few of the battles that this great course will put in front of us. Our finish will depend on how well we putt these greens. If they focus and feel the speed of the greens, we can have a good week. We hit the ball tee to green with the best. So our short game will determine our outcome."
