Tim Barnes is in his second year as a graduate assistant at OSU. He has administrative day-to-day duties, which includes working with the defensive coaching staff.
Barnes came to OSU after graduating from Villanova University with bachelor's degrees in secondary education and history. He was a member of the Dean's List and graduated with a 3.52 cumulative GPA. While at Villanova he worked as a student assistant for three seasons for the Wildcats' football team, including being a member of the 2009 Football Championship Division title team.
He attended St. Augustine High School in San Diego, where he was a three-year letterman defensive back and helped the team to the 2005 and '06 San Diego Sectional CIF Championship. He was a member of the National Honor Society and earned San Diego Tribune All-Academic honors in both football and baseball.
