2011 Kelsi had a bounce back year in 2011 competing in three events (vault, beam and floor) in all 13 meets ... All-Pac-10 First Team on vault ... had a career night at Pac-10 Championships (3/19/11) performing in the all-around (39.300) for the first time in her career to finish third in the meet ... added season-best on vault (9.90) and career-high on bars (9.80) at Pac-10's ... set season-best on beam with 9.875 at NCAA Corvallis Regional (4/2/11) ... scored 9.825 on floor at Arizona State (2/6/11) and matched that season-high at California (3/6/11) ... "hit" 39 out of 40 routines.
2010 Kelsi's season was derailed by a season-ending ankle injury, suffered during warm-ups at California (2/7/10), eventually requiring surgery ... prior to the injury, Kelsi had performed in three lineups (vault, beam and floor) ... was part of the vault lineup three times, setting a season-high of 9.85 at Ohio State (1/16/10) ... scored 9.675 in only beam performance - at Ohio State ... scored 9.75 in her only floor performance - vs. Stanford (1/29/10) ... "hit" five out of five routines.
Pre-Oregon State Kelsi is a two-time qualifier to the Olympic Training Center ... finished second in the all-around at Junior Olympic National Championships in 2007 ... finished third in the all-around at 2009 J.O. nationals and second on the balance beam ... finished eighth in the all-around at J.O. nationals ... won the all-around at Region 2 championships four straight years ... trained at Gymnastics East under coaches Tammy Carney, Kim Thompson and Remus Dragan ... was a club teammate with current OSU All-American Jen Kesler ... previously trained with current OSU assistant coach John Carney at Gym East.
