PERSONAL--Born 6/2/81 in Milwaukie, OR...son of Wayne and Michele Grussmeyer...father is a sub contractor and his mother is a bookkeeper...enters OSU with a 3.1 GPA and plans to major in education and wants to become a teacher...has an older sister, Lindsey, 20...enjoys mountain biking, tennis golf and any sports...top prep athletic thrill was going to state track and field championships in four events...selected OSU because, "I hate the Ducks and I wanted to see if I could play big time football."
OSU--(2000-Redshirt Freshman)--After red-shirting during the 1999 season as a wide receiver, Todd switched to defense at the start of spring drills and reported to spring practice listed No. 4 at left cornerback, the same position on the depth chart he will occupy when fall camp opens in August...in winter conditioning, Todd weightlifting bests of 315 in the back squat, 230 in the bench press and 198 in the power clean.
OSU--(1999-Freshman)--Joined the Oregon State program in fall camp as a walk-on wide receiver.
MILWAUKIE HIGH SCHOOL--(1996-99)--Todd earned three letters in football and three in track and field...three-year starter as a wide receiver and strong safety in football...competed in 100 meters, 200 meters, long jump and short relay in track...played football for Coach Rick Ward...finished seventh in the state 4A track and field championships in the long jump his senior year...selected first team all-league (Three Rivers) as a wide receiver and honorable mention as a strong safety his senior year...earned second team all-league honors on offense and defense as a junior and honorable mention all-league on defense as a sophomore.
