PERSONAL--Born 4/29/79 in Portland, OR...son of Richard Hall and Gerri Mingo...has two younger sisters, Nreka, 18; and Delila, 17...business major...Barry Sanders is his favorite athlete...selected OSU because, "I plan to major in business and OSU has a great business school that should give me plenty of options after college, and I am also very impressed with OSU's coaching staff and facilities."
OSU--(2000-Sophomore)--Hashim enters his sophomore season having played in two games with 28 yards gained on 7 carries...he reported for spring drills listed as No. 5 on the depth chart at fullback...the walk-on sophomore had a strong spring practice and will report to fall camp as the No. 4 tailback behind some very talented tailbacks, Ken Simonton, Patrick McCall and Antonio Battle...in four spring scrimmages, Hashim rushed for 24 yards on 5 carries in the first scrimmage...he rushed for 23 yards on 11 carries in scrimmage No. 2...he rushed for 4 yards on 2 carries in the third scrimmage of the spring...in the final spring game, Hashim had his best day of the spring and rushed for 64 yards on 12 carries for the winning White squad...in winter conditioning, Hashim produced some outstanding numbers for his size with a 405-pound back squat lift, 285 in the bench press and 247 in the power clean.
OSU--(1999-Redshirt Freshman)--Hashim entered spring football as No. 4 on the depth chart at tailback...continued to improve during the spring...in the three major scrimmages, Hashim carried the ball 2 times for 9 yards at Roseburg on April 17...followed with 3 carries for 11 yards at Prothro Field scrimmage on April 24 and had his best outing of the spring in the final Spring game at Hillsboro on May 1, rushing for 30 yards on 8 carries, including a 1-yard touchdown run for the winning White team...has outstanding quickness and figures to be No. 3 on the depth chart at tailback when fall camp opens...in the weight room, Hashim has posted personal bests of 262 pounds in the hang clean, 280 in the bench press, 405 in the back squat and 255 in the incline...posted a 28.50 inch vertical jump and tested for only 5.36 percent body fat.
(1998-Freshman)--Hashim reported to fall camp in 1998 as a walk-on tailback and spent the season playing on the scout team while redshirting.
CENTRAL CATHOLIC HIGH SCHOOL, Portland, OR (1995-97)--Hashim earned three letters as a starting running back for Coach Terry Summerfield at Central Catholic...earned all-league (Mt. Hood Conference) honors as a junior and senior...rushed for 558 yards in 9 games as a sophomore, averaging 8.2 yards per carry and scoring 3 touchdowns...caught 5 passes for 78 yards...as a junior, Hashim rushed for 799 yards in 11 games, averaging 8.2 yards per carry and scoring 5 touchdowns...caught 13 passes for 316 yards (24.3 average) and 5 touchdowns...in 9 games as a senior, he rushed for 1,329 yards, averaging 7.3 yards per carry...had four outstanding games as a senior...rushed for 199 yards on 22 carries against Beaverton...against David Douglas, rushed for 208 yards on 26 carries, plus he caught 2 passes for yards...his most productive prep game was against Centennial when he rushed for 273 yards on 21 carries and caught 2 passes for 40 yards...rushed for 149 yards on 22 carries against Reynolds High School and he caught 5 passes for 85 yards...earned four letters as a sprinter in track...served as football captain his senior year.
