PERSONAL--Born 4/1/81 in Seattle, WA...son of Jon Enghusen and Karol Bakamus...he has three brothers and sisters, Allie, 14; Bobby, 14; and Tommy, 12...enjoys basketball, weightlifting and nintendo...Michael Jordan is his favorite athlete...his top athletic thrill to date was defeating the No. 1 football team in the state (Kennedy High School) his senior year...his uncle, Norm Winton, played football at Oregon State in 1963-64 as an offensive lineman and on 1965 Rose Bowl team...selected OSU because, "I liked the city of Corvallis and the coaching staff."
OSU-(2000--Redshirt Freshman)--Robbie reported to spring practice listed as the No. 3 right tackle on the depth chart and he maintained the same spot on the depth chart through spring drills and will report to fall camp Listed No. 3 at right tackle...Robbie is playing behind senior Mitch White and sophomore Mike Kuykendall...he is in good position to make the natural progression up the depth chart...he is probably looking at spot duty as a redshirt freshman this fall...in winter conditioning Robbie posted weightlifting bests of 355 in the back squat, 280 in the bench press and 225 in the power clean.
OSU-(1999--Freshman)--Reported to OSU fall camp as an offensive tackle.
LIBERTY HIGH SCHOOL--Selected by PrepStar Magazine as the 18th best offensive lineman on its all-western region team...also recruited by Northwestern, Washington and Colorado...he was a first-team KingCo League all-star as a senior and a second-team choice as a junior...played in the Washington East-West all-star game in June at Everett, WA...listed as the 16th best player in the Northwest by SuperPrep Magazine in its preseason publication....runs 5.2 in the 40...he benches 330 pounds and squats 475 pounds...Renton Patriots in Class 3A...Robbie was a three-year starter at offensive tackle under Coach Tom Mosby...he also earned two letters as a basketball center and one as a shot putter in track...he elected not to play basketball and track as a senior...he has already posted lifting marks of 325 pounds in the bench press and 500 in the squat... "I believe Robbie has the potential to be a pro player," says Coach Mosby. "He has played only four years of football. He still has a lot to learn about the game itself, but he has a lot of natural ability. He moves very well and the potential is there. I think he is a diamond in the rough who hasn’t even scratched the surface of his potential yet."...according to PrepStar Magazine, "Robbie has everything you could ever want in an offensive line prospect. Has great arm extension, size, strength, mobility and drive off the football."
