Four-year letterwinner as a starting middle blocker... Was named the Sacramento Bee Player of the Year and was the MVP of the Capital Athletic League her senior year... Selected to play in the 2003 Optimist Game, a final high school competition for Sacramento-area senior volleyball players... Two-time first team all-city pick... Her team won the Capital League Championship all four years she played... The team won the Sac-Joaquin Section (Division II) her freshman, sophomore and junior years... The 2001 team was a NorCal finalist after advancing to NorCal semifinals in 2000... Played club volleyball for Delta Valley... Her dad played football at San Jose State from 1978-1981, earning Associated Press honorable mention All-America honors at tight end in 1980... He also played two years for the Oakland Invaders and was an offensive lineman for the San Francisco 49ers in 1987.
