Our Mission
The Oregon State Medicine Department is committed to delivering health care for every OSU student-athlete and to provide resources and education that promotes success in both life and sport. Athletic trainers and primary-care sports medicine physicians serve as a center point of a multi-disciplinary team of healthcare professionals. This group is dedicated to creating a culture of wellness, respecting individual student-athlete values, and ensuring that they each have the opportunity to complete in their sport safely and at the highest level possible. The OSU Sports Medicine staff values collaboration amongst colleagues and innovation across the profession to provide exceptional patient care. We foster an environment that is welcoming and supportive for all and reflect the mission of Oregon State University, while adhering to the professional standards set forth by the NATA, and within the guidelines of the NCAA and the PAC-12 conference.
Masters of Athletic Training (MATRN) - Professional Master's Degree
The Oregon State Athletic Training staff is committed to participating in the delivery of a comprehensive clinical education serving as preceptors within Oregon State’s Master’s of Athletic Training Degree. Students are part of a two-year intensive program focusing on the development of clinical expertise in the prevention, emergency care, diagnosis, referral, immediate treatment, and therapeutic rehabilitation of injuries and illnesses associated with participation in sport and physical activity.
