June 26, 2012
STILLWATER, Okla. - Oregon State associate head coach Marty Lees has been named an assistant coach at Oklahoma State, the Cowboys announced.
He was named an assistant by newly appointed head coach Josh Holliday. Lees spent 11 seasons with Oregon State and the last three as associate head coach.
"I'd like to thank Marty for what he has helped us accomplish in his 11 seasons at Oregon State," head coach Pat Casey said. "He has been a terrific part of the program and we will miss working with him and seeing his wife Kristy and sons Brandon, Brady and Jake at the field. I'd like to wish him the best of luck at Oklahoma State."
"I really appreciate the chance Coach Casey gave me to be on staff for the last 11 years," Lees said. "Leaving Oregon State will be bittersweet. I'm certainly going to miss the fans at Goss Stadium and the community of Corvallis. Oklahoma State will be a new challenge for me, one that I am looking forward to starting."
Lees served as the Oregon State recruiting coordinator since 2008 and was responsible for the team's infield and defense. He also coached third base.
A graduate of Western Oregon in 1994, he joined the program in 2002 after serving as the head coach at Harrisburg High School.
