Emergency Action Plan for Wrestling Practice Facility
Venue Directions:
The wrestling practice facility is located on the second floor of the Sports Performance Center (SPC.) The SPC is located on Ralph Miller Drive directly between Gill Coliseum and the Prothro football practice fields. The SPC can be accessed traveling either east or west on Ralph Miller Drive. To access the SPC from Ralph Miller Drive turn north into the Gill Coliseum parking lot. The wrestling practice facility can be accessed through the entrance at the northeast corner of the building. A member of the emergency response team will meet EMS at the entrance of the Gill Coliseum parking lot and direct them to the scene.
Emergency Personnel:
- Certified athletic trainer and athletic training student(s) on site for practices.
Emergency Communication:
- Cell Phone carried by certified athletic trainer.
- Fixed telephone line in the SPC (541) 737-8680. Available only during SPC business hours.
- Must dial 9 to dial out.
Emergency Equipment:
- AED, first aid supplies and splints located in the bottom left hand cabinet located in the northwest corner of the wrestling room.
Role of First Responders:
- Establish scene safety and immediate care of the athlete.
- Emergency equipment retrieval, as needed.
- Activate Emergency Medical System (EMS).
- Direct EMS to the scene. An athletic training student or other team personnel will meet EMS at the appropriate entrance and direct them to the scene.
