Emergency Action Plan for the Gladys Valley Gymnastics Center
Venue Directions:
The Gladys Valley Gymnastics Center is located at 1701 SW Jefferson Avenue next to the Valley Library. It can be accessed traveling either east or west on Jefferson Avenue. To Access from Jefferson Avenue turn north in the Emergency Access only lane between the Gymnastics Center and Library. The main entrance is on the west side of the building next to the statue of the gymnast. A member of the emergency response team will meet EMS at emergency access lane and direct them to the scene.
Emergency Personnel:
- Certified athletic trainer and athletic training student(s) on site for practices.
Emergency Communication:
- Fixed telephone line in athletic training room (541) 737-2338.
- From this campus phone dial 9-911
Emergency Equipment:
- AED located in the top left glass front cabinet in the athletic training room and fixed to the wall next to the main entrance.
- First aid supplies and splints located in athletic training room lower left cabinet.
Role of First Responders:
- Establish scene safety and immediate care of the athlete.
- Emergency equipment retrieval, as needed.
- Activate Emergency Medical System (EMS).
- Direct EMS to the scene. An athletic training student or other team personnel will meet EMS at the appropriate entrance and direct them to the scene.
