Emergency Action Plan for Sports Performance Center
Venue Directions:
The Sports Performance Center (SPC) is located on Ralph Miller Drive between SW 26th Street and SW 30th Street. The SPC is located directly between Gill Coliseum and the Prothro football practice fields. The SPC can be accessed traveling either east or west on Ralph Miller Drive. To access the SPC from Ralph Miller Drive turn north into the Gill Coliseum parking lot. The main entrance to the SPC is at the south end of the building. A member of the emergency response team will meet EMS in front of the Sports Performance Center and direct them to the scene.
Emergency Personnel:
- Strength & conditioning coach on site for all workouts.
- Certified athletic trainer and athletic training student(s) on site for workouts as deemed appropriate and in compliance with NCAA regulations.
Emergency Communication:
- Fixed telephone line in the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach's office (541) 737-8680.
- Must dial 9 to dial out.
- Cell phone carried by certified athletic trainer/strength & conditioning coach.
Emergency Equipment:
- AED & first aid supplies located on the first desk on the left hand side upon entering the SPC main office.
Role of First Responders:
- Establish scene safety and immediate care of the athlete.
- Emergency equipment retrieval, as needed.
- Activate Emergency Medical System (EMS).
- Direct EMS to the scene. An athletic training student or other team personnel will meet EMS at the appropriate entrance and direct them to the scene.
