Emergency Action Plan for Gill Coliseum
Venue Directions:
Gill Coliseum is located at 660 SW 26th street, between SW Washington Way and Ralph Miller Drive. Gill Coliseum is across Ralph Miller Drive from Reser Stadium. From 26th Street proceed west on Ralph Miller Drive to the entrance of the Gill Parking lot. From SW 30th Street proceed east on Ralph Miller Drive to the entrance of the Gill Parking lot. This is the SW entrance of the Coliseum; a member of the emergency response team will meet EMS and direct them to the scene.
Emergency Personnel:
- Certified athletic trainer and athletic training student(s) on site for practices.
- Certified athletic trainer, athletic training students(s) and Physician(s) on site for competition.
- EMT is on site for men's basketball and gymnastics competitions, as well as events when attendance predictions will exceed 2000 fans.
Emergency Communication:
- Cell Phone carried by certified athletic trainer
- Fixed telephone line in Gill Athletic Training Room (541) 737-2139. Must dial 9 to dial out.
- Fixed telephone line in event management office (541) 737-3577. Must dial 9 to dial out.
- EMT has radio to contact EMS.
Emergency Equipment:
- AED located on the athletic training cart.
- Fixed AED located in Coliseum main lobby SE side, next to facilities office.
- First aid supplies and splints located in athletic training closet in SE corner.
Role of First Responders:
- Establish scene safety and immediate care of the athlete.
- Emergency equipment retrieval, as needed.
- Activate Emergency Medical System (EMS).
- Direct EMS to the scene. An athletic training student or other team personnel will meet EMS at the appropriate entrance and direct them to the scene.
