Emergency Action Plan for the Softball Complex
Venue Directions:
The softball complex is located on Western Ave. between SW 26th Street and SW Stadium Ave, next to the Hilton Garden Inn. It can be accessed traveling either east or west on Western Ave. To access from Western Ave. turn south into the complex driveway and take an immediate left. Enter through gates on the first base side of the field, located directly behind the disabled parking area. A member of the emergency response team will meet EMS at first base side gate of the softball field and direct them to the scene.
Emergency Personnel:
- Certified athletic trainer and athletic training student(s) on site for practices and games.
Emergency Communication:
- Cell Phone carried by certified athletic trainer.
- Fixed telephone line in press box (541) 752-7905. Must dial 9 to dial out.
Emergency Equipment:
- AED, first aid supplies and splints located in the 3rd base dugout.
Role of the Emergency Team:
- Establish scene safety and immediate care of the athlete.
- Activate Emergency Medical System (EMS).
- Emergency equipment retrieval, as needed.
- Direct EMS to the scene. An athletic training student or other team personnel will meet EMS at the appropriate entrance and direct them to the scene.
