Emergency Action Plan for the Soccer Complex or Paul Lorenz Field
Venue Directions:
Paul Lorenz Field is located on Western Ave. between SW 15th Street and SW Stadium Ave, just east of the Hilton Garden Inn and Softball complex. It can be accessed traveling either east or west on Western Ave. To access from Western Ave. turn south into the parking lot on the east side of the field and process to the SE corner. Enter through gates directly onto the field by the home sideline bench. A member of the emergency response team will meet EMS on Western Avenue at the Hilton Garden Inn parking lot entrance and direct them to the scene.
Emergency Personnel:
- Certified athletic trainer and athletic training student(s) on site for practices and games.
Emergency Communication:
- Cell Phone carried by certified athletic trainer.
Emergency Equipment:
- AED, first aid supplies and splints located on the sidelines next to the home bench.
Role of the Emergency Team:
- Establish scene safety and immediate care of the athlete.
- Activate Emergency Medical System (EMS).
- Emergency equipment retrieval, as needed.
- Direct EMS to the scene. An athletic training student or other team personnel will meet EMS at the appropriate entrance and direct them to the scene.
