Emergency Action Plan for Truax Indoor Center
Venue Directions:
The Truax Indoor Center is located on the corner of SW 30th street & Washington way, adjacent to the Prothro Football Practice Fields and directly northwest of Reser Stadium. The Truax indoor center can be accessed traveling either north or south on SW 30th street. To access the Truax Indoor Center from SW 30th street turn east into the Valley Football Center parking lot. The main entrance to the Truax Indoor Center is at the southeast corner of the building. A member of the emergency response team will meet EMS at the Reser Stadium parking lot off 30th street and direct them to the scene.
Emergency Personnel:
- Certified athletic trainer(s) and athletic training student(s) on site for all practices.
Emergency Communication:
- Cell phone carried by certified athletic trainer.
- Fixed telephone line in Truax front lobby (541) 737-9369.
- Must dial 9 to dial out.
- This phone works for outgoing calls only.
Emergency Equipment:
- AED, supplemental oxygen, first aid supplies and splints located outside the 50 yard line east double doors.
Role of First Responders:
- Establish scene safety and immediate care of the athlete.
- Emergency equipment retrieval, as needed.
- Activate Emergency Medical System (EMS).
- Direct EMS to the scene. An athletic training student or other team personnel will meet EMS at the appropriate entrance and direct them to the scene.
