Taichi Kitagawa joined the Oregon State University Sports Medicine Staff as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer in the Fall of 2011.
Kitagawa came to Oregon State after serving as an intern athletic trainer at the Academy of Arts University in San Francisco, Caif., where he worked with the men's soccer and baseball teams.
He earned his Bachelor's of Science in Athletic Training from San Jose State University in 2010 and is currently working on his Master's of Science in Neuromechanics at Oregon State.
The Shiga, Japan native is certified by the National Athletic Trainer Association Board of Certification and is certified in CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer.
Kitagawa's previous work experience includes a summer camp internship with the San Francisco 49ers and season-long internships with the San Jose Earthquakes Professional Soccer Team and San Francisco Giants.
