The Game
Oregon State opens its final trip of the regular season Friday in Pullman, Wash. OSU and Washington State get underway at 5:30 p.m at Bailey-Brayton Field.

Last Game
Kavin Keyes hit a bases-clearing triple in the second and Scott Schultz held Portland scoreless in 4 2/3 innings of relief to send the 23rd-ranked Oregon State baseball team to a 12-4 win over the Pilots Tuesday night at Goss Stadium. Keyes took a 1-2 pitch from Portland reliever J.R. Bunda and hit it to the base of the right-field fence for the three-run triple, which snapped a 4-4 tie. It was Keyes’ second triple of the season and paced him to two hits and four RBI in extending his hit streak to seven games.
TV Saturday
Saturday’s game from Bailey-Brayton is now a 4:30 p.m. start as it will be broadcast on ROOT Sports in the Pacific Northwest. The Beavers are 3-4 on TV this season and will play on ROOT and KEZI 9.2 again on May 26.
Keyes Pushes Seven Games
Kavin Keyes’ two hits and four RBI extended his hit streak to a season-long seven games. The sophomore is 10-for-30 (.333) with three doubles and two triples during the streak. He is hitting .234, his highest average since he was at .244 on April 3.
Against The Cougars
Oregon State is 90-127-2 in games played in Pullman, and the Beavers are looking to win their first series at Bailey-Brayton since a three-game sweep in 2006. OSU went 1-2 in both 2008 and 2010.
That’s Different
Friday’s starter for the Beavers, Ben Wetzler, has five wins on the road this season despite having a 5.04 earned run average away from Goss Stadium. At home, Wetzler is 1-1 with a 1.72 ERA. He is 7-3 all-time on the road.
Get More Hits And Win
If anything, out-hitting opponents has been a key to success for the Beavers in 2012. OSU is 23-1 when collecting more hits, compared to 30-2 last season. OSU is 7-1 when doing so in true road games this season.

• Pat Casey needs two wins to tie Jack Riley (613) for the most as the Beavers’ head coach.
• OSU’s pitchers rank second in the Pac-12 with 158 strikeouts in league games. Oregon has 166 in three more league contests.
• Michael Conforto is the lone Pac-12 player to rank in the top 10 in the league in average, home runs and RBI. Conforto is ninth in average (.354), tied for first in home runs (11) and first in RBI (63).
