Outlook: Jasmine Wilson joins the Beavers for the 2001-02 season after graduating from Etiwanda High School in Rancho Cucamonga, CA...will see playing time at the forward position...according to Coach Spoelstra, “Jasmine has a true passion for playing the game and a passion for rebounding. It was her vengeance for rebounding that brought our attention to her and we feel like she will do a great job at small forward.”

ETIWANDA, Rancho Cucamonga, CA: Jasmine was a four-year starter and letterwinner while playing basketball at Etiwanda High School for coaches Allen Hollis and Robert Madeky...was a two-time Mt. Baldy League all-star...a four-time All-Tournament player...earned League Tournament Most Valuable Player honors...as a senior, averaged 17 points, six rebounds and four assists per game...was named one of the top 50 high school players in California...played on numerous summer travel teams, including the 1999 Summer California Academy where she was coached by Oregon State legend Ralph Miller’s daughter, Shannon Jakosky.

Born in Hollywood, CA...daughter of Greg Wilson and Jacqueline Dorsey...father, a former collegiate basketball player at Pepperdine University and the Professional Basketball Summer League, is a marketing director...mother is a junior high art teacher...has a brother, Micah (23) and two sisters, Christine (16) and Trina (13)...former prep summer ball teammates currently playing at other Division I schools include: Diana Taurasi (UCONN), Candice Allen and Veranda James (Arizona), Tamara McDonald (Pepperdine) and Jasmine Mathews (Loyola Marymount)...chose Oregon State because of its “family atmosphere from team, coaches and staff”.
