Day 14 -- Quarterback Sean Mannion is Featured
April 26, 2012
Corvallis, Ore. - Athlon Sports recently ranked the Pac-12 quarterbacks in which sophomore Sean Mannion held the fourth position. Not bad for an underclassman who at this rate will challenge all of Derek Anderson's career records.
In his first season as a starter Mannion completed nearly 65 percent of his passes for 3,328 yards. His touchdown to interception ratio was approximately 1:1, but if history is any indication quarterbacks in year two as the starter for head coach Mike Riley accomplish a much higher ratio.
The OSU video team had a chance to catch up with Mannion after practice Thursday at the Merritt Truax Indoor Center as the team held its last mid-week spring practice.
