Motomochi Fires 1-Under 71 In Final Round At Aggie Invitational

Aggie Invitational Final Results 
BRYAN, Texas - Senior Jonnie Motomochi had two birdies and just one bogey at the tough Traditions Club in Bryan, Texas to card a 1-under 71 and the Oregon State men's golf team shot a 21-over 381 for the second consecutive round to finish in eighth place at the sixth annual Aggie Invitational on Sunday.
The Beavers concluded the two-day, 54-hole tournament with an 80-over 398-381-381--1,160 in the 6-count-5 format that was played at the par-72, 7,146-yard Traditions Club, their final regular season event before hosting the Pac-12 Men's Golf Championships this Friday through Sunday, April 27-29, at Trysting Tree Golf Club.
Motomochi, who is winding down a very successful four-year career with the Beavers, birdied his first hole of the day, the par-5 10th, and reeled off 10 straight pars before taking a bogey on the par-4 third hole. He got right back in the red with a bird on the par-4 fourth hole and finished the tourney in sole possession of 14th place, his second-best finish this season, with a 9-over 79-75-71--225.

Junior Nick Chianello finished in the top-20 for the third time in the past four tournaments after posting an 11-over 79-72-76--227 to tie for 17th place. The transfer from the University of Portland had three birdies on Sunday and has proven to be a key addition to the Beavers' lineup in his first season in Corvallis.
Sophomore David Fink competed in his first tournament since early February after suffering a wrist injury and had all three of his rounds count in Oregon State's team score, finishing with a 19-over 81-76-78--235 for a tie for 44th place.
Senior Alex Moore had three birdies on Sunday, but also took three doubles, to finish in a tie for 54th place with a 23-over 78-82-79--239, while junior Nick Sherwood bounced back after a tough opening round to finish with a 25-over 87-76-78--241 and junior Matt Rawitzer was a stroke back with a 26-over 81-83-78--242.
The Pac-12 Men's Golf Championships features 36 holes on Friday, 18 on Saturday and 18 on Sunday at Trysting Tree Golf Club and admission is free to the public. All 12 teams from the conference will compete and information about the event is available at this link.
