Track Set to Compete Under the Lights at John Knight Twilight

April 12, 2012
CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Oregon State track and field program will travel to Western Oregon University to compete at the sixth annual John Knight Twilight meet this Friday. This meet differs from other meets because events are scheduled late into the night so the athletes will be competing under the lights.
The meet is named after former Western Oregon track and field coach John Knight. He had 17 individual national champions and has coached over 250 All-Americans during his time. He also won national coach of the year honors in 2003 and 1993.
The John Knight Twilight will play host to some of the most talented teams in the northwest. The Beavers will be competing against teams such as Western Oregon, University of Oregon, University of Portland, Willamette University, Clackamas Community College, Mt. Hood Community College, Corban and College of Idaho.
Oregon State will be traveling 19 student-athletes for Friday’s competition, including several athletes making their first appearance this season. www.osubeavers.com following the completion of the meet for recaps and Oregon State results.
