Ten Student-Athletes Invited to NCAA Sports Forum

Ten Oregon State University student-athletes have been invited to attend the NCAA National Career in Sports Forum to be held in Indianapolis June 7-10. The event is an educational forum where selected student-athletes will learn and explore careers in sports, sports law and sports entertainment with a primary focuses on intercollegiate athletics.
Representing the Beavers at the Forum will be women's rowers Leslie Greer (Woodinville, WA), Karley Laney (Corvallis) and Kayla Laney (Corvallis), from women's soccer Lindsay Meiggs (Happy Valley, OR), from women's swimming Erica Nelson (Salem, OR), from men's soccer Travis Anderson (Adelaide, Australia), and from the football team Andrew Seumalo (Corvallis), Rashaad Reynolds (Pacoima, CA), Mitch Singler (Medford, OR) and Tony Wilson (Salem, OR).
The objectives of the Forum include: consider how their personal values intersect with career opportunities, understand how behavioral styles impact individual effectiveness, develop actionable plans for personal growth and development, learn a realistic view of the roles of coach or administrator in collegiate athletics or conference offices, as well as, within sports law and the sports entertainment industry.
In addition, men's basketball player Kevin McShane (Portland) and gymnast Stephanie McGregor (Calgary, Alberta) will be attending the Pac-12 Conference Student-Athlete Advisory Committee meeting in San Francisco April 14-15.
