2004: John has an excellent opportunity to be the team's placekicker...he has experience in the program after serving as the backup kicker the last two seasons...has kicked in spring and fall scrimmages...also is a right-handed pitcher on the baseball team and made two appearances before an injury sidelined him...his kicking was curtailed during spring practice due to a lower back injury.
2003: John missed his only field goal attempt as a sophomore...pitched one inning of relief for the baseball team...perfect on all five of his extra point attempts.
2002: Redshirt.
JESUIT: John earned three letters in football as a kicker...he lettered four years in baseball for head coach Craig Webster...second team all-state and the league's Co-Player of the Year as a senior...three-time all-league selection in baseball...was 8-2 with 99 strikeouts and a 1.63 ERA as a senior, and batted .472 with five home runs and 29 RBI...played football with current OSU receiver Mike Hass.
PERSONAL: Born in Kaheohe, Hawaii...son of Ted and Sharon Dailey...has one brother, Patrick, and one sister Kristen...came to OSU on a baseball scholarship...chose OSU because of the opportunity to "earn an education and play two Division I sports"...majoring in business.
