COLLEGE OF THE REDWOODS, Eureka, CA—Played two years of football for Coach Dave Banducci...rushed for 1,008 yards and 10 touchdowns as a freshman...rushed for 1,238 yards and 12 touchdowns as a sophomore...he earned first-team All-Mid Empire Conference and California all-state honors as a senior.

KENNEDY HIGH SCHOOL, Seattle, WA—Floyd earned four letters in football, three as a shortstop in baseball and two in track...posted times of 10.7 in t he 100 meters and 22.2 in the 200 meters...he ran in the state meet in both events as a senior...he rushed for 1,783 yards and 24 touchdowns as a senior while playing for Coach bob Bourgette...he earned all-state honors as a running back and defensive back his senior year...he was a Blue Chip selection as one of the top running backs on the West Coast...his best game as a senior found him rushing for 326 yards and seven touchdowns on only 15 carries in one half of play against Highline High School...he rushed for 850 yards and 14 touchdowns as a sophomore...rushed for 980 yards and 12 touchdowns as a junior.
