Beaver alum comes back to help out his alma mater after taking a few years off from the sport
Troy Gann enters his first season as a Rigger/Boatman with the OSU women's rowing team. He will be responsible for maintaining the team's equipment and boathouse as well as the transportation of boats and equipment to events.
Although this position is a first for the OSU alum he is no stranger to the team, having served as a volunteer assistant coach from 2004-06 and in the same capacity with the men's team from 2001-03.
In between his stints on the docks in Corvallis, Gann was an assistant coach for the Yale Heavyweight rowing team from 2003-04.
COLLEGE CAREER (OSU, 2001-03) As an undergraduate, Gann rowed on the OSU varsity men's team and turned to coaching after an injury his sophomore year ... Following the injury, he assisted with the men's varsity and freshman squads until graduating in 2003.
PERSONAL Played varsity golf at Southern Oregon Community College ...Is a native of Eugene, Ore. ...Majored in business with a minor in biology ...
