WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - Oregon State junior golfer Alex Moore was selected to the All-Pac-10 First Team as selected by a vote of the 10 conference coaches, Commissioner Larry Scott announced on Monday.
Moore is having one of the best seasons in Oregon State men's golf history as he posted the lowest round in school history with a 9-under 63 at the Oregon Duck Invitational and finished in a tie for medalist honors at the Pac-10 Championships before falling in a heartbreaking sudden-death playoff on the seventh hole.
He has four Top 10 finishes this season and his scoring average of 70.94 is currently the second best in school history to Diego Velasquez, who posted a 70.31 average last year. Moore is just the fifth Oregon State golfer to earn First Team honors and the 21st to receive All Conference recognition.
