Baseball Selected To Host An NCAA Regional

May 29, 2011
CORVALLIS, Ore. - The Oregon State baseball team will be one of 16 programs from across the nation that will host a postseason regional, the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) announced Sunday.
The announcement came at 12:30 p.m. PT, approximately 30 minutes prior to the Beavers' regular season finale at Oregon's PK Park. It marks the fourth time in the history of the program OSU will host a regional, and the third time since 2005.
It will be held starting Friday, June 3, and continues through Sunday, June 5. An "if necessary" game will be played Monday if Sunday's action does not determine a regional winner. Times for each game will be announced later this week.
The regional will be dubbed the "Corvallis Regional" and will feature the Beavers and three other teams that will help comprise the field of 64. The entire field will be announced on the selection show Monday morning at 9:30 p.m. PT on ESPN. The show will last 30 minutes.
Regional tickets for purchase are currently available for season ticket holders until Tuesday at noon. The general public may start purchasing all-session tickets starting online (osubeavers.com) at 8 a.m. Wednesday and over the phone (1-800-GOBEAVS) and in person at the ticket office at legendary Gill Coliseum starting at 9 a.m.
All-session tickets are $100 for reserved seats, $72 for adult general admission and $54 for student general admission seats. All-session tickets are good for the entire regional, with a minimum of six games and a maximum of seven.
Single-game tickets, if available, will go on sale on game day two hours prior to each game. These will be made available at the Goss Stadium ticket window. Fans purchasing at Goss Stadium can only do so with cash or check.
Single-game tickets are $20 for reserved seats, $15 for adult general admission and $12 for student general admission.
Reserved seats are located in the grandstands and all general admission seats are located in the bleachers beyond the outfield fences.
