Hannah, Peterson Earn All-Pac-10 Nod

May 27, 2011
WALNUT CREEK, Calif. -
Oregon State seniors Robert Hannah and Evan Peterson were announced as members of the Men’s Rowing Pac-10 All-Conference team, Commissioner Larry Scott announced Thursday.
Hannah (Springfield, Ore./Springfield HS) and Peterson (Kenmore, Wash./Inglemoor HS) have been mainstays in the Beavers’ Varsity 8 boat throughout the 2011 racing season. Hannah primarily rowed in the 3-seat while Peterson set the pace in the stroke seat. The duo helped the Oregon State V8 to a fourth place finish and the team finished third overall.
“Evan and Robert have both done a great job for Oregon State and the recognition by the Pac-10 Conference is fantastic,” head coach Steve Todd said. “They both walked on to the team here as novice athletes, never having been in a racing shell before. Four years later they have made a huge impact on our team.”
Members of the all-conference rowing teams are based upon each institution’s finish in the Varsity 8 championship race at the Pac-10 Championships, which were held May 15 on Lake Natoma in Gold River, Calif.
