Josh Osich To Be Honored For No-Hitter At Tuesday's OSU Baseball Game

May 2, 2011
CORVALLIS, Ore. - Fans attending Oregon State's game with Oregon Tuesday night at Goss Stadium will have the opportunity to honor the left-hander as the No. 3 Beavers will recognize his no-hitter from Saturday.
A short pre-game ceremony will start approximately 10 minutes prior to first pitch as the game is scheduled to start at 5:35 p.m. PT.
Osich, from Boise, Idaho, became the first OSU pitcher to record a complete-game no-hitter since 1947. He's also the first Pacific-10 Conference pitcher to throw a no-hitter against a fellow league opponent since Stanford's Jason Middlebrook did it against UCLA in 1994.
Osich, in fact, is the 10th Pac-10 pitcher to accomplish the feat against a current league opponent.
Also, fans can replay the entire audio broadcast from Saturday's game on Beaver Nation Online, located on osubeavers.com. The broadcast, in addition, has been added to the podcast page under "fan zone." It can be downloaded to a program such as iTunes and used on a media player such as an iPod.
