Beaver Nation -- Welcome Josh Williams
April 6, 2011
Corvallis, Ore. -
Head football coach Mike Riley announced late Tuesday that linebacker Josh Williams from Salesian High School in Los Angeles has been admitted to Oregon State University and will begin practicing Wednesday.
Williams, a 6-0, 218-pound linebacker, had 110 tackles as a senior in 2009. He earned Los Angeles Wave Northeast Division First Team and helped the Mustangs advance to the Southern Section semifinals, the deepest run in the 51-year history of the program. He was a Rivals 4-star recruit and helped the basketball team to the state title.
Oregon State resumes practice Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. and will hold its first “scrum” of the spring practice session Friday.
