Carlyle Set to Run at Payton Jordan Invitational

CORVALLIS, Ore. - Junior runner Laura Carlyle will compete Sunday at the Payton Jordan Invitational hosted by Stanford University.
Carlyle will be competing in the women's 1,500-meter run set to start at 5:32 PT. She set the Oregon State school record in the event last season with a time of 4:23.86 at the Pacific-10 Conference Track & Field Championships in Berkeley, Calif.
Carlyle's best time this season in the event was a time 4:26.34 at the Mt. SAC Relays in Walnut, Calif. where she finished 17th overall. She is currently ranked 51st on the 2011 Women's NCAA Division I West POP list. The top-48 on the list will qualify for the NCAA West Regional which will be held May 26-28 at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore.
The Beavers will once again be on the track next weekend at the Oregon Twilight on May 6 and the Mt. Hood Track & Field Festival May 7.
