Beavers Set to Host No. 17 Washington State at Dexter Lake
April 29, 2011
CORVALLIS -
The Oregon State’s women’s rowing team gears up to face a familiar rival as it returns to Dexter Lake for the only time this season on Saturday. The Beavers will host their Pacific Northwest rival No. 17 Washington State.
Last time the Beavers faced the Cougars in a dual meet, the Novice 8+ crew came out victorious with the other crews teams falling short.
“I love the tradition of the Washington State dual. It's a great Northwest rivalry and I always expect fast racing from both teams,” head coach Emily Ford said. “It's a chance for our teams to feel that they are part of the greater history of our programs. We've been working hard to prepare to give Washington State our best.”
Racing is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m.
