Chad Hanke Wins Championship At University Nationals

AKRON, Ohio - Oregon State wrestler Chad Hanke won the 211-pound weight class at the University Nationals tournament on Saturday.
Hanke, who wrestles at 197 pounds during the regular collegiate season and who was a 2011 NCAA Championship qualifier, went 6-0 at the tournament. He defeated Kent State's Dustin Kilgore in the semifinals and then downed Sonny Yohn from Minnesota, 2-0, in the final bout.
Hanke's teammates, Garrett Drucker and Ty Vinson, also competed well in the freestyle tournament. Drucker finished seventh at 138 pounds and Vinson (174) was one win shy of placing in his bracket.
