Beavers Head South For Civil War Clash with No. 19 Ducks

THIS WEEK - Oregon State heads south to take on the No. 21/19 Oregon Ducks in the annual Civil War Series presented by PacificSource Health Plans this Thursday through Saturday at Howe Field in Eugene. Thursday and Friday's games are slated to start at 6 p.m. with Friday's game being televised live on Comcast Sports Net Northwest. Saturday's game will start at 12 p.m.

WATCH THE BEAVERS LIVE - Friday's game will be televised live on Comcast Sports Net Northwest with first pitch slated for 6 p.m. Terry Jonz will be providing the play-by-play.

GAMES 34-36: No. 21/19 OREGON DUCKS - Oregon comes into play this weekend with an overall record of 30-11 and is 2-7 in Pacific-10 Conference play. The Ducks were swept last weekend by California and are 3-7 in their last 10 games. Monique Fuiava leads the team in batting average with a mark of .407 on the season and also leads the team in RBIs with 33. The Ducks are hitting .307 as a team and have outscored their opponents by a mark of 225-to-105.
Jessica Moore is the ace of the pitching staff with an earned run average of 1.51 after allowing only 26 earned runs in 120.2 innings pitched. Moore's 1.51 ERA is third best in the conference and the team's ERA of 1.92 is fourth best in the conference.
ALL-TIME AGAINST OREGON - The Beavers are 81-81-1 all-time with the Ducks taking two out of three last year in Corvallis. Audrey Roderfeld hit a grand slam in the Beavers' lone win of the series last year as the Beavers won the second game of the three-game by a score of 7-6.
INDIVIDUALS AGAINST OREGON - Maggie Doremus is 4-for-8 in her career against Oregon with three runs scored and a run batted in. Audrey Roderfeld has also had success against the Ducks in her career is 10-for-27 with three runs scored, three doubles, three home runs and nine total RBI.
WHAT'S NEXT FOR THE BEAVERS - The Beavers are home this coming Monday for a doubleheader against North Dakota. The games are slated for 1 and 3 p.m. at the OSU Softball Complex.
