Walnut Creek, Calif. – Redshirt freshman Tami Brown (Eugene, Ore.) was the lone Oregon State women’s basketball student-athlete to be named to the Pac-10 All-Academic Team earning honorable mention status, announced Friday by Pac-10 Commissioner Larry Scott.
Brown, a 6-2 forward, appeared in 16 games, averaging 8.9 minutes per game. She joins 32 other Pac-10 student-athletes on the teams. The All-Academic selection is Brown’s second after earning honorable mention honors in volleyball during the 2010 season.
To be eligible for selection to the academic team, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 overall grade-point average and be either a starter or significant contributor.
