Track Heads to Bay Area Track Meets

CORVALLIS, Ore. - The Oregon State track team heads to the San Francisco Bay Area this weekend when it participates at the Stanford Invitational and the San Francisco State Distance Carnival.
The Beavers are coming off a very successful weekend at the Oregon Preview last weekend in Eugene, Ore. Laura Carlyle won the 800-meters after leading the race wire-to-wire with a time of 2:12.12.
Several runners will compete at the Stanford Invitational on Friday starting with Jennifer Macias running in the 5,000 at 11:18 a.m. Natosha Buruse, Audrey Botti and Casey Masterson will compete in the 1,500 while Hayley Oveson and Laura Carlyle will run the 5,000. Also competing at the Stanford Invitational will be football student-athlete Obum Gwacham in the high jump.
A larger group of runners will compete at the San Francisco State Distance Carnival, also on Friday. Lauren Graebner, Taylor Nowlin and Abby Chesimet will compete in the 1,500 while Kristin Oenning will participate in the high jump. The Beavers will also compete in the 3,000, 2-mile and 800 events at the Distance Carnival.

12 noon - Women's High Jump - Oenning
12:15pm - 3,000 sc sect #1 - Clark, Sharpe; sect #2 - Poblacion
1:20pm - 2 mile - Stangel, Lampi, Wheeler, Jones, Corredor, Pitman, Hart
2:10pm - 800 sect #2 - Brown, Berry; sect #3 - Hunt
