2004: Dallas is an excellent two-sport athlete at Oregon State...also a key figure on the baseball team's pitching staff...will battle for playing time in football at a position where the program has depth...a likely major special teams contributor...on the mound he was 3-6 with a 5.06 ERA in 69.1 innings pitched...he also had a team-high six saves and a team-high 57 strikeouts.
2003: Dallas was the only true-freshman to play...he played on special teams and participated in five games - Arizona, Arizona State, Stanford, Oregon, and USC...he made his only tackle of the season vs. Oregon.
NEWBERG: Dallas was one of the top all-around prep athletes in the state as a senior during the 2002-03 academic year...he earned three letters in football, basketball and baseball, plus two in track and field...he was a quarterback, safety, punter and place kicker and was named the Player of the Year in the Pac-9 League on offense and defense as a senior...played football for head coach Eric Carlson...selected the Player of the Year as a right-handed pitcher and shortstop by a vote of the state's baseball coaches...as a senior pitcher he finished the season with a 10-2 record with two saves, 155 strikeouts and had a 0.55 ERA...allowed 38 hits in 85 ½ innings...in the state championship game against Jesuit, he went 3-for-5 with two RBI and two runs scored while pitching an eight-hitter with 11 strikeouts in a 13-4 victory...in basketball, he led the team with a 17.9 points per game average...he also qualified for the 4A state track meet in the long jump and high jump...he was drafted in the 19th round by the Pittsburgh Pirates, but decided to attend OSU.
