PREVIOUS COACHING EXPERIENCE:
(1999)--Jamie spent the 1999 season as varsity running backs coach and head junior varsity coach at Ballard High School, Seattle, WA.
(2000)--Jamie joined the OSU staff in August of 2000 as a graduate assistant working with the defensive staff.
PREP ATHLETIC CAREER: Attended Milpitas High School, Milpitas, CA. He played football, basketball and baseball at Milpitas, earning three letters in football and two each in basketball and baseball. As a sophomore, he earned all-league honors in football. He was named the offensive MVP of the Santa Clara Valley league his junior year and the MVP of the league his senior year. Jamie was also named first-team All-Central Coast (CCS) Section as a senior and honorable mention All-State. He played running back, linebacker and defensive back. He was an all-league choice in basketball as a senior. Graduated from Milpitas High School in 1990.
COLLEGE ATHLETIC CAREER: Attended Fresno State University from 1990-93 and played three years as a fullback for the Bulldogs. Played running back for Central Washington in 1995 and the Wildcats won the NAIA national title that season.
EDUCATION: Attended Milpitas High school in Milpitas, CA, graduating in 1990. Attended Fresno State University from 1990-93. Graduated from Central Washington University, Ellensburg, WA. He earned a B.A. in law and justice in 2000. Currently working on a graduate degree from Oregon State University.
PERSONAL: Jamie is married to former Deja Garcia. The couple has one daughter, Cree Christian, (3/14/93).
