PERSONAL--Born 12/29/78 in Hanford, CA...son of Terry and Debbie Murdick...his father is a Kings County sheriff officer and his mother is a Kings County sheriff’s clerk supervisor...family includes brother Matt, 25; and sister Rebekah, 20...he is in the College of Liberal Arts and is a liberal studies major...he wants to become an elementary teacher and principal...enjoys art...member of honor roll at Corcoran High School and was on Dean’s list during 1997-98 school year in junior college.
OSU--(2000-Senior)--Tim earned a letter in 1999 as OSU’s snapper for punts and field goals...he is outstanding as a long snapper...he also plays linebacker on defense and could be used as a backup linebacker...he was listed as the No. 4 middle linebacker heading into spring practice and he will be the No. 4 linebacker on the depth chart when fall camp opens...he has 23 career defensive points based on 9 tackles, 7 of which were unassisted...during winter conditioning, Tim posted weightlifting bests of 415 pounds in the back squat, 315 in the bench press and 280 in the power clean
OSU--(1999-Junior)--Joined the Oregon State program as a walk-on linebacker and long snapper during fall camp and is expected to make a strong challenge for the long snapping duties in 1999.
COLLEGE OF THE SEQUOIAS, Visalia, CA--(1997-99)--Earned two letters at College of the Sequoias as a linebacker...recorded 118 tackles his freshman year and 180 his sophomore year, including 109 solo tackles...had 2 1/2 sacks as a sophomore...selected All-Northern California as a sophomore...named the 1997 Merced Elks Bowl defensive MVP...he was a 1998 J.C. Grid-Wire honorable mention All-American...earned the 1998 Giant of the Year award from College of the Sequoias...team captain...team’s most inspirational player in 1998 and special teams Player of the Year in 1997...played for Coach Roger Kelly.
