PERSONAL--(Pronounced--dah-VID-ian) Born 11/20/78 in Klamath Falls, OR...son of Al and Nancy Davidian...his father is a school superintendent and his mother is a school counselor...he has two sisters, Angela, 16, and Sarah, 22..liberal arts major and wants to be a coach following his graduation...his favorite athlete is John Randle...his biggest athletic thrill to date has been playing in two sonsecutive junior college national championships in football...selected OSU because, "It is a good place for me. I am close to my family and I like the school and football program that is on the rise."
OSU—(2001—Senior)—Paul enters his senior year having played in four games in his Beaver career…he opened spring drills as the No. 2 right guard and he will report to fall camp as No. 1 on the depth chart…during winter conditioning, Paul produced weightlifting bests of 325 in the bench press and 270.1 in the power clean.
(2000--Junior Redshirt)--After a year of working on the scout squad at offensive tackle, Paul reported to spring drills as the No. 2 left offensive tackle behind Vincent Sandoval...when fall camp opened Paul was moved to right guard where he spent the season as a backup to Jared Cornell…Paul saw action in four games during the 2000 season, playing against San Diego State, Stanford, Washington State and Notre Dame…Paul showed good progress during the spring...he reported to fall camp as the No. 2 left tackle...in winter conditioning, Paul produced weightlifting marks of 470 pounds in the back squat, 315 in the bench press and 269 in the power clean
OSU-(1999-Junior)-Paul enrolled at Oregon State spring quarter and participated in spring football...will report to fall camp listed as No. 3 at left tackle on defense...Paul is playing in an area where OSU has very good depth, as a result it will be very competitive to earn playing time...he posted a bench press mark of 292 pounds during his spring workouts.
CITY COLLEGE OF SAN FRANCISCO--(1997-98)--Named second-team All-Golden Gate Conference selection in 1997 and first-team in 1998...suffered a broken ankle midway through freshman season and missed half of the season...he was a third-team preseason PrepStar Magazine junior college All-America selection...City College of San Francisco was 22-2 during his two seasons...played for Coach George Rush at CCSF... "Paul is a very tough, physical player. He worked extremely hard in rehab to come back from his broken ankle and he had an outstanding season for us," said Rush...the CCSF Rams were ranked No. 2 among California community college teams in 1998 with a 11-1 record after dropping the state championship game to Palomar College 30-21.
TUALATIN HIGH SCHOOL, Tualatin, OR (1994-96)--Attended high school at Tualatin High School...earned three letters as a tackle...was a three-year starter on defense and a starter at offensive tackle his senior year...was a three-time all-league (Pac-7) selection at defensive tackle, plus he earned all-league honors at offensive tackle his senior year...earned honorable mention all-state honors on defense as a junior and senior, as selected by The Oregonian...played for Coach Craig Hastin...played in the North-South Shrine All-Star football game in the summer (1998) followng his senior year.
